The power core

Engine power is supplied by six "AA" batteries. The brain and sensor circuits are powered by another four "AA" batteries, good for about 200 hrs. of operation. It is planned to replace them all by accumulator packs later.
A connector mechanism will be part of the power core allowing the robot to dock at an external recharging station (its "home").
